
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on the 27th of February, 1976 in Torrance, California. He was raised in Southern California, and was a student at Huntington Beach High School where He was a leading player on both the football and basketball teams. Gonzalez continued to be a star in those sports at the University of California, Berkeley. He played with the football team in the 1996 Aloha Bowl. Here, Gonzalez broke the school record for bowl games with nine receptions. A few months later Gonzalez helped lead the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament. Gonzalez was selected to the NFL Draft in 1997. Gonzalez was picked as the 13th overall selection by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was a part of the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008. Gonzalez was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez never caught less than 59 passes during Gonzalez's second NFL season.
