Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee in a manufacturing plant. Her birth date was the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her siblings. Stone was regarded as an academically gifted as a child and began the second grade when she was five. Saegertown School situated in Saegertown Pennsylvania was her high school.
